Serwaa joined the PMOMS team fall of 2019 as a Research Assistant. She is a 3rd year dual PhD Social Work/MPH student with a focus on improving maternal health and birth outcomes among Black women. Serwaa is the recipient of the NHLBI Diversity Research Supplement which supports research training with Dr. Mendez. She will assist with recruitment as well as manuscript development for the PMOMS study.
