Andrea Casas, MPH, CBS

Andrea joined the PMOMS team in the fall of 2019 as a Research Assistant. She earned her MPH in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences at Pitt Public Health in 2006, and is also a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist.  She is an Epidemiology PhD student, and her research interests include social determinants of health, health equity, and maternal and child health. She is also a Data Manager/Analyst for the Live Well Allegheny (LWA2)-REACH Study evaluation team. Andrea's professional passion is helping to bridge connections between the public health research community and individuals, community-based programs, and philanthropic organizations so that knowledge, resources, strengths, and efforts toward creating healthier communities are shared.
